Viking Fest Minnesota

Viking Fest Minnesota is a celebration of Viking heritage, Norse mythology, and living history held over two October weekends at the Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington, about 30 minutes from Minneapolis and St. Paul. Visitors find historically inspired encampments with costumed reenactors, combat displays, axe throwing and weapon training, an artisan marketplace with blacksmithing, woodwork, leather goods and Viking garb, and rustic Nordic fare with mead and ale. Workshops cover Norse sagas, rune lore and ancient skills, children's games and crafts run alongside 18+ mead tastings and adult evening entertainment, and the festival runs rain or shine, with tickets sold at the gate though advance purchase is recommended.
