Festival of Skalds

The Festival of Skalds is an Old Norse themed weekend event held on grounds at Carpenter Road in Angora, Minnesota, named for the skalds who kept Viking history and told their people's stories. Visitors find handcrafted goods from artisan vendors working in blacksmithing, pottery, chainmail, nalbinding, jewelry and fantasy art, alongside food and beverage stands. Programming includes primitive archery run with a local archery team, axe throwing, Viking stories and games, belly dance, minstrel and fiddle music, fire spinning, storytelling and children's activities, plus ancient games, demonstrations and reenactments.
