Spring Fling at The Renaissance Faire at Sleepy Hollow

Held on wooded, hilly grounds on Dean Avenue in Des Moines, this event is billed as Iowa's largest Renaissance Faire and runs as a family-friendly gathering of professional entertainers, including magicians, acrobats and knights on horseback. A village of more than 80 artists, crafters and vendors sells hand-crafted art, clothing, jewelry, swords and armor, while food stalls offer loaded MacTaters potatoes, bubble waffles, buttered beer, vegetarian options and Iowa meads and wines from a partner winery. Children 12 and under enter free, gates run from 10am to 6pm rain or shine, and accessible parking with a permit is available on site.
