Sherman Celtic Festival

An annual Celtic heritage festival held at Pecan Grove Park - West in Sherman, Texas, celebrating Celtic culture through traditional music, dance and crafts, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Visitors can watch Highland Games athletes tossing cabers, hammers and stones, a Highland Dance Competition featuring Scottish and Irish dancers, and regional, national and international Celtic bands playing pipe and drum, traditional tunes, pub songs and bagpipe rock. Ticketed whisky tastings are limited to 20 people each. Pre-sale adult admission runs about $10 for one day, with children five and under free; VIP tickets include shuttle transport from parking areas.
