Scotland County Highland Games

The Scotland County Highland Games are held on the roughly 46-acre John Blue House property in Laurinburg, with events spread across the site, including Scottish heavy athletics, Highland dance and the Currie Ceilidh Tent. Seating is limited to bleachers at the athletics, benches at the dance venue and chairs in the ceilidh tent, so visitors are encouraged to bring portable chairs. The weekend also takes in a free Friday evening Highland Fling at McDuffie Square in downtown Laurinburg and a free Kirkin' of the Tartans worship service at the Historic Old Laurel Presbyterian Church. Service animals are permitted; other pets are not.
