The Beaufort Pirate Invasion

The Beaufort Pirate Invasion is a living-history pirate event in Beaufort, North Carolina, organized by Beaufort Pirate Invasion Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose Cannon Crew is led by Capt. Carl Cannon as Blackbeard. It commemorates the Spanish attack on Beaufort in 1747 and the presence of Blackbeard and the Queen Anne's Revenge, with living-history demonstrations drawn from local colonial culture. Visitors find interactive exhibits, performances by costumed performers and re-enactors, hands-on activities and a vendor marketplace, all aimed at presenting the golden age of piracy in an educational and entertaining way.
