Renaissance Faire Day at Hammond Castle Museum

A two-day Renaissance event held on the grounds of Hammond Castle Museum in Gloucester, where the medieval-style architecture and coastal setting serve as the backdrop for knights, artisans and performers. Attractions include armored combat demonstrations by The Brotherhood of the Arrow and Sword, a talk on the history of medieval arms and armor by the museum's curatorial director, wandering entertainers such as a storyteller, harpist and bubble faery, and a kids' tent with crafts. Admission includes access to parts of the museum interior and all scheduled entertainment; children 4 and under are free with a reserved ticket and ages 5-12 are $10. Off-site parking at Stage Fort Park is free, with complimentary shuttles running to the museum. Cosplay is encouraged; weapons are prohibited. Runs rain or shine.
