Open Fields Medieval Festival

The Open Fields Medieval Festival is a family-oriented medieval event organized by Open Fields School in Thetford, Vermont, near Hanover, New Hampshire. Entertainment fills the Green, with hands-on activities for children, costume accessories for sale alongside visitors' own attire, food booths offering signature festival fare plus vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, and animals such as chickens, a Highland pony and baby goats in past years. An artist market presents demonstrations of traditional crafts by local artists and souvenirs. The festival is run with community partners including local schools, a church and a barbecue vendor.
