Michigan Renaissance Festival

The Michigan Renaissance Festival takes place on a permanent site on Dixie Highway in Holly, in the Metro Detroit area. The grounds, known as Hollygrove, recreate a 16th-century village on 17 acres, with reproduction shops, taverns, and a castle. Entertainment fills the streets and 17 themed stages, including jousting, comedy, live music, and games, while costumed cast members portray characters led by Queen Elizabeth and her royal court. The festival runs on weekends across seven themed weekends and draws more than 250,000 visitors each year. Artisans sell handcrafted work throughout the village, and paid on-site parking is available, with parking included for season pass holders.
