Michigan Nordic Fire Festival

A Norse-themed winter festival held outdoors at the Eaton County Fairgrounds in Charlotte, Michigan, about 20 miles southwest of Lansing. The programme centres on Viking encampments, combat shows, reenactments and demonstrations of cooking, blacksmithing, mead making and Norse living, alongside musicians, fire performers, LARP players and storytellers. A ship burning, Julbock burning and a mid-winter feast anchor the weekend, with hands-on spear throwing, archery, axe throwing and children's quests, plus beard and costume contests. An artisan market, the Midgard Mead Hall and Tyr's Tavern operate on site, with off-site parking and shuttles.
