Renaissance Faire
New Hampshire Renaissance Faire
The New Hampshire Renaissance Faire is a family-oriented, educational and theatrical event held in Fremont, New Hampshire, mixing historical knights with fantasy characters such as fairies. Merchants are mainly local artisans selling handmade costumes, jewelry, pottery, herbals and weaponry, with several demonstrating weaving, leatherwork and jewelry making at their booths. Visitors find a royal court, Tea with the Queen for children, an archery range, bellydance lessons, knight and pirate encampments, themed costume days and musicians performing Medieval, Renaissance, Celtic and sea-shanty repertoires. Run largely by volunteers, the faire raises money for charities including the New Hampshire Food Bank and Meals on Wheels of Rockingham County.
