Franklin Renaissance Faire

Held at Odell Park in Franklin, New Hampshire, this two-day community renaissance festival is presented by the Franklin Area Lions Club as a non-profit event benefiting local service projects. The weekend program features sword fighting and fencing demonstrations, including performances by Phoenix Swords and duels with Dan the Swordsman, magic with Mike, educational and living-history demonstrations, traditional music, and artisan vendors. Families can take part in field games, races, yard games and free do-it-yourself crafts. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Admission is charged, with young children admitted free alongside a regular ticket and a discounted family rate available.
