Renaissance Faire

Kansas City Renaissance Festival

The Kansas City Renaissance Festival is an autumn renaissance faire held on wooded grounds in Bonner Springs, Kansas, just west of Kansas City. It began as a benefit for the Kansas City Art Institute and is now operated by Mid-America Festivals. The grounds are staged as a sixteenth-century village populated by a costumed royal court, with full-armor jousting, fire performers, and continuous entertainment across multiple stages. An artisan marketplace offers handmade wares, and its lineup of crafters and merchants rotates over the season. Each weekend of the run carries its own theme, including a Viking-themed weekend.
