Great Plains Renaissance Festival (Spring)

A renaissance and Scottish festival held in Sedgwick County Park in Wichita, running two days with entertainment across the grounds. The program includes jousting and mounted combat by the Knights of the Vale, falconry demonstrations by the Master Falconers of Raptors Keep, fire breathers, jugglers, musicians, dancers and pipers, a fairy court hosted by King Oberon, and a ten-foot animatronic dragon named Ragnar. Highland Games competitions are contested in men's, women's, junior and masters classes with caber toss, hammer throw, weight over bar, sheaf toss, stone throw and weight for distance, alongside armored combat by the Wichita Bison.
