Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival

A one-day Scottish festival held at Look Park in the Florence section of Northampton, described on its site as the only Scottish festival in Massachusetts and the second largest in New England. The program centers on Highland Games and competitions in athletics, pipe bands, solo piping and drumming, drum major and Highland dance, with dozens of pipe bands filling the field for opening and closing ceremonies. Visitors also find live Celtic and folk music, Irish dance demonstrations, a Clan Village with genealogy and heritage displays, vendors selling Celtic goods and food, a stone-lifting try-it station, historical swordsmanship, and a Celtic pub with whisky tasting.
