Garrett County Celtic Festival

A one-day outdoor Celtic festival and Highland Games held at Friendsville Town Park on the banks of the Youghiogheny River in western Maryland. The program spans several stages and tents: a main stage pavilion with Celtic bands, a dance tent with Irish, Welsh and Cornish dance and folklore, an indoor Shamrock Room for storytelling and fiddle sessions, and a village tent of cultural and historical talks. Visitors also find Mid-Atlantic Scottish athletes competing, pipe and drum bands opening the day and gathering at noon, a clan village with re-enactors, Celtic arts workshops, artisan vendors, food and a children's area.
