Cavern City Renaissance Festival

The Cavern City Renaissance Festival is a two-day event in Carlsbad, New Mexico, featuring more than 110 artisan vendors, food and drink, music and magic. Performances take place at the Royal Pavilion and Pirate Stage, with circus and fire shows, taiko drumming, Celtic and pirate bands, a Punch and Judy puppet show, comedy troupes and roaming performers. An armored combat arena hosts steel fighting throughout both days, and the SCA Shire of Nahrun Kabirun stages a medieval recreation village with displays of crafts, combat and daily life. Other attractions include a festival quest and a ticketed tavern crawl.
