Ashville Viking Festival

The Ashville Viking Festival is a family-oriented, free-admission event in Ashville, Ohio, that asks visitors for canned food donations benefiting the local food pantry. Its Saxon Market gathers juried craftspeople selling Viking-themed goods, wood carvings, textiles, leather, furs, pewter, amber jewelry, henna and books, alongside authors and exhibitors such as the Sons of Norway. Three stages and roving performers offer belly dancing, a full-contact armored joust and squire's challenge, juggling, fire breathing, music, magic, pike training and birds of prey, while the Grove of Heroes presents historical encampments spanning Rome to the Holy Roman Empire. Youth activities and feast halls round out the grounds.
