Acadiana Renaissance Faire

A weekend event in Ville Platte, Louisiana, built around Post Bonhomie, a fictional outpost that gathers representatives of the founding cultures of Acadiana and presents their sights, sounds, foods and wares. Each weekend of the run carries its own theme, including fae, pirates, voyagers, Celtic heritage and Mardi Gras. The grounds hold multiple stages with entertainers rotating throughout the day plus roaming performers, and the entertainment roster includes belly dance, blacksmithing, combat and variety acts. Vendors and entertainers are drawn from life and lore in Acadiana spanning the 18th century.
