Three Barons Renaissance Fair

An Anchorage renaissance fair staged over two weekends in the fictional village of Hillshire, held in commemoration of Hillthelstan the Bold. Three Barons - Red, Green and Blue - and their entourages compete for the Spear of Hillthelstan, with visitors choosing the daily winner by casting wooden tokens. Attractions include a Tournament of Champions with live sword fighting, a market of food and artisan vendors, games of skill, and the Crooked Toad Tavern for patrons 21 and over. Adult day passes run $12, with reduced rates for children, students, military and seniors. A free parking shuttle runs from UAA's West Lot; on-site parking is reserved for handicap placards. The level soccer-field site is handicap accessible, and ASL interpreters are present all four days.
