Seaside Highland Games

A Scottish festival held on the Ventura County Fairgrounds at Seaside Park on the coast of Ventura, described as the premier Scottish festival on the Pacific Coast, with the grounds turned into a Scottish village. Weekend attractions include three stages of continuous music, Highland heavy athletics, Highland dancing, piping, drumming and drum majoring competitions, sheep herding demonstrations, a Harp Glen, a World War II military encampment, clan societies, vendors, Celtic food and drink, and a Children's Glen. Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. on both days, and one ticket is good for either day. A whisky tasting and a Friday night dinner with music and a fashion show take place at a nearby harbour hotel. Dry camping for RVs and trailers is available on site, and service dogs are permitted.
