Scotland Connecticut Highland Games

A one-day Scottish heritage festival run by the Highland Festival Association of Scotland, CT, now held at the Brooklyn, Connecticut fairgrounds after more than four decades on the Waldo Home Grounds in Scotland. Attractions include Highland athletics, Highland dance competitions, bagpipe and drum contests, pipe band presentations, harp and fiddle tents, a Clan Village, opening and closing ceremonies, animals of Scotland, Scottish foods and vendors, plus a Flowers of the Forest remembrance. Regular admission is $25, with $20 for veterans, students and seniors, $5 for children 5 to 12 and free entry under 5; parking is charged and staffed by the Mortlake Fire Department.
