Ravenwood Faire

Ravenwood Faire is a renaissance-themed medieval faire held in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley at North Mountain Vineyard & Winery, presented by the Ravenwood Foundation, which supports youth and community programs. The faire runs over October weekends and ties its programme to breast cancer awareness. Visitors encounter a costumed royal court of barons, baronesses and queen's guard, along with jesters, bards, period musicians and poets, a town gossip, herbalist and other characters of the realm, plus a brewers and vintners guild offering mead and beer. The event is largely volunteer-run, with roles from performance to crew work.
