Britchin' Brown Renaissance Festival

Held on the grounds of Stable Craft Brewing in Waynesboro, this one-day renaissance festival is staged in partnership with the Society for Creative Anachronism. The brewery's farm setting becomes a village of tents and market stalls, with handcrafted wares from local vendors, blacksmithing demonstrations and assorted readings and services. A main stage carries the entertainment, including fire performers, sword swallowing, magic and armoured combat demonstrations with a melee battle, plus lessons in period dance. House-made beers and ciders, among them the namesake Britchin' Brown Ale and a dry cider, are poured throughout. Admission is free, and guests may attend in costume with peace-tied weapons.
