Radford Highlanders Festival

A one-day Celtic festival held on the main campus of Radford University in Radford, Virginia, presented as a partnership between the university and the City of Radford with free admission to the public. The program centers on Highland heavyweight athletic games, sheepherding, live Celtic and folk music, and clan and society registration where families showcase their heritage. The lawn of Moffett quad hosts an open-air market of artists, craftspeople, vendors and community organizations selling clothing, accessories and jewelry, alongside food stalls offering Scottish fare and standard festival food. Organizers estimate attendance of about 10,000.
