Las Vegas Highland Games

Hosted by the Las Vegas Celtic Society at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas, this two-day Celtic festival and Highland Games celebrates Scottish and Irish heritage in the Southern Nevada desert. Heavy athletics form the core of the competition, with events such as the caber toss, stone put, hammer throw and weight for height. Pipe bands and drummers perform alongside live music, and Highland and Irish dancers compete in traditional costume. Vendor stalls sell tartan goods, clan crests and Scottish food and drink, and a gathering of clans lets visitors trace their ancestry. The event is family-friendly, with reduced admission for children, seniors and military.
