Honoka'a Renaissance Faire

A one-day community renaissance event held in the heart of Honoka'a town on Hawaii Island, described by its organisers as Hawaii's Original Renaissance Faire. Visitors find live entertainment with knights, queens, jesters and minstrels, sword fighting, archery, music, food and artisan vendors, along with a merchandise shop on the grounds. Costumes are welcomed but not required, and the faire is presented as family friendly. It is supported by the Honokaa Business Association and includes community elements such as an annual flyer art contest open to local artists.
