Folsom Renaissance Faire

The Folsom Renaissance Faire recreates Elizabethan England, with a themed storyline built around Shakespeare seeking a muse in the court of Queen Elizabeth I. Around 800 costumed performers populate a village with parades, pageants, three stages of continuous entertainment, music, dancing, jesters, Shakespearean vignettes, staged battles, storytelling and archery, plus full-contact jousting in the Queen's Tiltyard with riders from the USA, Europe and Canada. Close to 80 merchants sell jewelry, woodcrafts, ceramics, clothing, historic weapons and leather goods, alongside turkey legs, BBQ, meat pies and sweets. Tickets are sold online only, with a daily cap of 3,000 guests and no gate sales.
