Fae Festival

Fae Festival is an urban Renaissance faire held at IX Art Park in Charlottesville, presented by the IX Arts Foundation. The weekend event centers on a medieval market of artists, makers and food vendors, with live music and stage performances, roaming characters such as bellydancers, a bubble pirate, a mermaid and goblin performers, plus alchemy and hypnosis shows. Visitors can wander immersive art installations and photo spots inside and outside The Looking Glass museum, watch a staging of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and stay for an evening fire performance. Costumes are encouraged and family-friendly activities are offered.
