Carolina Renaissance Festival

The Carolina Renaissance Festival recreates a costumed village on grounds off Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville, with more than 1,000 roaming costumed villagers and sixteen stages of music, comedy, vaudeville and circus entertainment. Three jousting tournaments run daily in a tournament arena, alongside falconry displays, mermaids, fairies and dragon characters. Over 140 arts and crafts shops sell work by artisans demonstrating trades such as glassblowing, ironwork, shoemaking, jewelry, pottery and candle making. Rides and games include archery, axe throwing and a large rocking horse, and food stalls offer smoked turkey legs, stews, craft ales and sweets.
