Big Sky Renaissance Faire

The Magpie Renaissance Faire, presented by the Magpie Foundation, is a historically inspired medieval fantasy event held in a private open field in the Horseshoe Hills overlooking the Missouri River, with views of the Tobacco Root range. Visitors browse a marketplace of local artisans and craftspeople selling handmade goods, watch Renaissance music, aerialists, costumed characters and knights in battle, and try archery, axe throwing, children's games and a scavenger hunt. Local food vendors and the Magpie & Thistle Tavern serve barbecue, snacks and locally crafted beer, cider and mead. Costumes are encouraged, and peace-tied prop weapons are permitted.
