Arizona Renaissance Festival

An open-air renaissance festival held in Gold Canyon, about seven miles east of Apache Junction on US Highway 60 in Arizona's East Valley. Visitors walk through the Village of Fairhaven, a themed village with an open-air Artisan Market selling arts and crafts, along with food, drink and stage shows. Attractions named include jousting knights on horseback, falconry displays, games and rides, and costumed characters such as mermaids, fairies and dragons. Added-cost experiences include the Pleasure Feast, a five-course meal with entertainment, and The Hops, a guided brew tour with a flight of four pours. The festival runs on weekends across nine weekends.
