The Rosemary House Fairy Festival

An annual two-day fairy festival held in the herb gardens of The Rosemary House and Sweet Remembrances in Mechanicsburg, aimed at children roughly ages three to eleven and those who believe. Free activities include pixie face painting, gem mining, leaf rubbings, dress-ups, photo spots and toadstool trading with an elf, while the Craft Barn offers projects such as sand art, amulet bags and ceramics for additional fees. Costumed fairies, mermaids and a Fairy Godmother roam the gardens, alongside a fairy fashion show, scavenger hunt, belly dancers, storytelling, hooping and craft vendors, with food served on the side porch. Admission is $8.50 and parking is free, including a church lot, street parking and a municipal lot; the gardens have narrow walkways and strollers must be parked on the side porch. The event runs rain or shine, moving indoors to the tea room and barns if needed.
