St. Petersburg Renaissance Faire

Held at England Brothers Park in Pinellas Park, the St. Petersburg Renaissance Faire runs over four spring weekends and recreates the fictional Shire of Heyford in 1593, during a royal progress by Queen Elizabeth. Each weekend carries its own theme, with a Bavarian beer weekend, a swashbuckler weekend including a sea shanty sing-along and a miniature Spanish Armada reenactment, a Roman-styled Bacchanal, and a whimsical gnome-themed closing weekend. Hundreds of villagers, artisans and entertainers take part, including jesters, jugglers, jousters, bagpipers, fiddlers and dancers, plus pottery, blacksmithing and glassblowing demonstrations, costume makers, and food such as turkey legs, ale and baked potatoes. Gates are open 10:00am to 6:00pm.
