Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival

Set in the village of Morelandshire in West Newton, Pennsylvania, this festival runs weekends over six glorious weekends and presents itself as a 16th century medieval amusement park celebrating over 20 years. Visitors wander village streets and pathways among artisans creating original works of their ancient craft, entertainers and revelers, children's activities, and themed weekends, with food stalls selling roast turkey legs, steak on a stake and baked goods (food and beverages are cash only). It opens rain or shine from 10:30am to 6:30pm, adult admission is $27 at the box office and $25.50 online, children 5-12 pay less and under-5s enter free, and parking is free.
