Pirates of the Pacific Festival

Held at the Port of Brookings Harbor on the southern Oregon coast, this three-day pirate festival fills the waterfront and adjacent Kite Field with costumed revelry. Re-enactors stage cannon fire and sword fighting, while magicians, jugglers and other performers keep the crowds entertained. Musicians perform sea shanties and salty seafaring tunes, and merchants offer pirate-themed wares alongside arts, crafts and food vendors. Family-oriented activities include children's events, treasure hunts and costume contests, and visitors are encouraged to turn up in pirate attire. The setting beside the harbor makes it an easy stop for coastal travellers.
