Marcus Hook Pirate Festival

A one-day pirate-themed festival in the riverside borough of Marcus Hook, organized by the Marcus Hook Preservation Society as a fundraiser for the restoration of the historic Plank House, said to have been the home of Blackbeard's mistress. The event features a full pirate encampment with period tents, demonstrations of wares, firearms, cannons and beer making. The adjoining park area holds games, food, live pirate music, face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo, crafters and a beer garden.
