Maddock Rural Renaissance Festival

The Maddock Rural Renaissance Festival is a multi-day community celebration in Maddock, a small town in Benson County in north-central North Dakota. Centered on the Benson County Event Center, it combines Renaissance-themed entertainment — costumed characters, themed performances, and an artisan marketplace of craft, food, and local vendors — with the atmosphere of a small-town rural fair. The event is family oriented and shaped by strong local volunteer involvement, offering a smaller, more relaxed alternative to large commercial Renaissance fairs. Most of the festival is free to attend, with separate charges for a handful of individual attractions.
