MadCounty Renaissance Fair

Staged at the Hampton Cove Wedding Venue in Gurley, in eastern Madison County near Huntsville, the MadCounty Renaissance Fair is a Renaissance and fantasy event held across two weekends. The grounds host dozens of artisans, crafters and curated vendors, food trucks, and roughly ten live shows, with armored fights, horseback archery, live glassblowing and blacksmithing demonstrations, a reptile education show and a pirate comedy show. Costume contests are part of the program, and free kids' games and family activities are offered. Costumes and cosplay are encouraged but must be family friendly; prop weapons must be peace-tied, and pets other than service animals are not admitted.
